The International Directory of Philosophy is a searchable online database containing information on university philosophy departments and programs, philosophical societies, associations, research centers and institutes, journals, and philosophy publishers around the world. It consolidates in electronic format all information published in the Directory of American Philosophers and the International Directory of Philosophy and Philosophers, standard reference works published by the Philosophy Documentation Center since 1970. The purpose of these publications has always been to facilitate awareness of philosophical activity, and increase communication with and between philosophers everywhere. The new database carries this mission forward in a new format.
The International Directory of Philosophy presently contains listings for the following:
