The Journal of Islamic Philosophy is a peer-reviewed English language journal dedicated to the academic study of Islamic philosophy. This annual journal provides a unique forum for the philosophical discussion of topics in Islamic thought. Classical Islamic philosophy of past masters is re-examined with a new focus: the underlying issues in the many ethical, metaphysical, existential, and epistemological challenges posed by western and other philosophical traditions are explored within an Islamic context. The mission of the journal is to serve as an impetus toward the renewal of a robust spirit of advanced Islamic philosophical discourse and as an introduction to this rich tradition.
Note: The current issue is Volume 6 (2010)
Volumes 7 and 8 (2011, 2012) will be available July 2013.
The Editors expect the journal to be back on schedule by end of 2013.
