SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The Journal of Philosophical Research considers original articles up to 20,000 words in length. Please contact the editor regarding manuscripts that somewhat exceed this limit. The journal is also willing to consider short discussion notes, including criticisms of articles that originally appeared in another journal. JPR does not publish book reviews.

Please note that JPR does not consider submissions that are currently under consideration at another journal.

All submissions should be prepared for blind review. This means that the author's name and other identifying information should be removed from the text. Please also remove identifying information from other locations, such as under "Properties" section in a Word file.

Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word or RTF format to facilitate import of styled text into our typesetting system. Any reasonable formatting style and system for notes, references, etc. is fine at the time of submission. If the paper is accepted for publication, we will ask the author to bring it into line with the journal's style (Chicago Manual of Style) at that time.

Manuscripts may be submitted as attachments by e-mail to this address jpr.jpr.1@nd.edu. Correspondence may also be addressed to the editor by regular mail at the following address:
