The Journal of Social Studies Research is an internationally recognized peer-reviewed journal designed to foster the dissemination of ideas and research findings related to the social studies. It is the official publication of the International Society for the Social Studies, and is one of the longest running peer-reviewed research journals devoted to social studies education. Since its founding in 1977, The Journal of Social Studies Research has been well respected as one of the leading journals in its field. It is now published quarterly and is available from the Philosophy Documentation Center beginning with volume 34 (2010).
