Philosophy in America at the Turn of the Century
APA Centennial Supplement, Journal of Philosophical Research
This special supplement of the Journal of Philosophical Research
contains invited papers prepared by several well known philosophers on
the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the American
Philosophical Association (APA). These wide ranging essays look ahead
as well as to the recent and more distant past, and suggest the diversity,
directions, and challenge of contemporary philosophy in the United States.
These papers have been published as a service to the profession by the
Journal of Philosophical Research, in cooperation with the APA's
Committee on Lectures, Publications, and Research.
