The Modern Schoolman is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal publishing articles and reviews on the history of Western philosophy, including ancient, medieval, Renaissance, and modern thought. Established in 1925 at Saint Louis University, it is one of the oldest philosophy journals in North America. The journal occasionally publishes special issues dedicated entirely to the work and legacy of a particular thinker or tradition. All issues - with over 5,700 articles, reviewes, and other items - are available online.
NOTE: Beginning 2013 (volume 90), The Modern Schoolman has become Res Philosophica.
