Studi Internazionali di Filosofia was established in 1969 as an international, peer-reviewed forum for the publication original philosophical work in several languages. The journal had editorial offices in Italy and the US, and it published articles, reviews, and conference reports in English, French, German, and Italian. The journal described its purpose as follows: "Promuovere studi e ricerche originali in tutti i campi delle varie scienze filosofiche e dei vari periodi dell storia della filosofia." Studi Internazionali di Filosofia published annual volumes from 1969 to 1973. In 1974 the journal was succeeded by International Studies in Philosophy.
