This peer-reviewed journal publishes essays on or inspired by the thought of the French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty. Since 1999 this journal has published an important collection of original work on Merleau-Ponty that is truly international in scope. Each tri-lingual volume contains articles in English, French, or Italian, and the editors welcome submissions in these languages. The content of each volume is focused on a particular theme or subject, adding further breadth to the collection. Chiasmi International is produced in collaboration with the "Societa italiana di studi su Maurice Merleau-Ponty" in Italy. Print copies are distributed by Mimesis Edizioni in Milan, Libraire Philosophique J. Vrin in Paris, and the philosophy department of Penn State University.
