Classical World
A Quarterly Journal on Antiquity
Matthew S. Santirocco, Editor
Classical World is the quarterly journal of The Classical Association of the Atlantic States, an organization that sustains and promotes the study of Graeco-Roman language, literature and culture. Established in 1907, this peer-reviewed journal enhances the teaching of the classics and serves as an important tool for scholarly pursuits. It also provides materials useful to teachers beyond individual scholarly articles, bibliographies, and pedagogical essays. Tables of contents are freely available.
Classical World publishes contributions on all aspects of Greek and Roman literature, history, and society; on the classical tradition; on the history of classical scholarship; and on the teaching of Latin, Greek, and classical civilization. The journal also publishes expert reviews of new books in all areas of classical antiquity, and includes listings of new books received from classics publishers around the world. The ideal reader is a scholarly teacher or a teaching scholar, and the ideal contributor has something to say to this reader. The journal is published on a seasonal schedule with Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer issues. Membership in The Classical Association of the Atlantic States includes a print subscription as a benefit of membership.
