Robert J. Baum, Editor
Professional Ethics was a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary forum for the analysis of specific ethical issues that arise in the practice of a profession or in professional ethics. Established in 1992, the journal was sponsored by the Center for Applied Philosophy and Ethics in the Professions at the University of Florida. It published original work by many leading scholars working in practical and professional ethics, including Michael Davis, Deni Elliot, Carol Gould, R. M. Hare, Ed Hartman, Daryl Koehn, Seumas Miller, Michael Pritchard, Wade Robison, Caroline Whitbeck, and Daniel Wueste. The journal also published special conference issues in cooperation with professional associations in several countries:
Australian Association for Professional and Applied Ethics
Canadian Society for the Study of Practical Ethics
International Association for the Philosophy of Sport
International Colloquium on Military Obedience
Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility
Markkula Center for Applied Ethics
In 2003 Professional Ethics was incorporated into Business and Professional Ethics Journal.
