This peer-reviewed journal of Catholic thought published a broad range of articles and reviews on topics in theology, philosophy, sociology, history, education, literature, science, and current events. Contributors included Joseph Cardinal Bernadin, Daniel Berrigan, Dietrich Hildebrand, Quentin Lauer, Bernard Lonergan, Jacques Maritain, Thomas Merton, Walker Percy, Karl Rahner, Elizabeth Sewell, Charles Tansill, and many other well known figures. Established by The American Press in 1926, the journal later moved to Fordham University. It ceased publication in 1992.
