Society for Business Ethics (SBE)
ABOUT THE SOCIETY FOR BUSINESS ETHICS
History and Purpose
Founded in 1980, the Society for Business Ethics is a non-profit organization of scholars and others interested in business ethics. The Society provides an international forum for those interested in research, teaching, or the practical application of ethical principles and concepts to the management of businesses. It conducts an annual meeting for the presentation and discussion of new research, issues a newsletter with information of interest to members, produces the scholarly journal Business Ethics Quarterly, and provides resources for those engaged in business ethics in their daily lives.
Richard De George, one of the society's founding members, wrote A History of the Society for Business Ethics on its 25th Anniversary to mark that occasion.
