The Modern Schoolman
A Quarterly Journal of Philosophy
William C. Charron, Editor
The Modern Schoolman is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal publishing articles and reviews on the history of Western philosophy, including ancient, medieval, Renaissance, and modern thought. Established in 1925 at St. Louis University, it is one of the oldest philosophy journals in North America. The journal occasionally publishes special issues dedicated entirely to the work and legacy of a particular thinker or tradition. Back issues from 1979 to the present are currently available online, and all back issues will be digitized in 2012.
Note: issue 87:3-4 (2010) is now in production. All 2011 issues will be available this summer. The journal will be back on schedule by the end of 2012.
