Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy International Association (SEPIA)
Libraries can support the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (SEP) by joining the
Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy International Association (SEPIA), a membership
organization under the sponsorship of Indiana University Libraries. The purpose of SEPIA
is to build an endowment that will provide ongoing funding for publication of the SEP as a
scholarly, open access source of information on philosophy. The Philosophy Documentation Center
(PDC) serves as the fiscal agent for SEPIA. Full members of SEPIA receive special benefits, including:
(1) protection of membership dues (dues will be returned if the SEP ever terminates)
(2) branding on SEP web pages
(3) a listing on the SEP Library Support page
(4) single-click download access to the SEP Archives
(5) SEP Archive storage rights
(6) the right to serve the SEP Archives if the SEP terminates.
If your library would like to join SEPIA, please complete and submit the Statement of Commitment
The following one-time rates for Full Membership in SEPIA are based upon the number of philosophy departments in each country and general economic conditions. (Note that payments may be spread out over 3 years.)
